Tautuku Beach

I slipped off my shoes at Tautuku Beach and immediately I feel my feet sink into the soft, damp sand. As part of Room 7 camp we went to Tautuku Beach to see the view, take pictures and swim in the refreshing but cold water.

The wind blew onto my face and my eyes squinted in the sun as I looked out at the view of the ocean. I looked around the beach and found a little collection of shells and put them down by my shoes. I ran down to the waters edge and dipped my feet in but it's too cold for me.

I strolled back up the beach to where all the boys are sliding down this sand slide. I ran up the sand dune and joined the queue. I sat down, got my photo taken, then dropped onto my bum into a big pile of sand. Before I knew it I was going up and down, up and down on the sand slide.

At that moment Miss Lyon said that we were leaving so I put my shoes on, clutched my shells in my hand and walked back up the sand dune and started walking with Emma back through the native bush walk.

Rocky Shore

As I got out of the car and took off my shoes my feet sunk into the sand like the Titanic. I made a ball of sand and threw it along the beach side .I watched it slowly break into little miniature pieces of sand. By the time I got to the beach I had water up to my knees I grabbed  my plastic container and looked for something exciting but the most exciting thing I found was a cold.

Thats when I heard a loud AAAAHHHH!!! I looked over to see Max lifting up a rock and under that rock was a dozen crabs. So I grabbed a handful of them and threw them in my container but within a few minutes I had slipped on the slimy rocks and had fallen on my back, the crabs went flying towards my face like knives. Luckily I was quick enough to duck before they hit me. Unfortunatley, I lost two of them so I got up and looked under every slimy and slippery rock I could find.

Then in no time at all I had 6 adorable little crabs but one of them wasn't so small. I named them, Jimmy, Phil ,Gerard,Tavi ,Mark, and last but not least little, Johnny. What a day at the beach I had!

Miss Taylor's reading class

This activity was to create a poster or newspaper, I chose to do a poster because I hadn't done it before.
This book is about a girl named Haya whose mother dies and she gets a tiny foal for her 6th birthday and she has to look after it all the time. It is a big job but she can handle it. I promise that you will really like it.

Miss Taylor's reading activity

My activity was to design a new book cover. I choose this because it was my reading book and I was asked to do a choice activity . This book is interesting, it is called UNDER THE SEA.

My activity was to make a new book cover. I decided to do it on Sea Witch because it was our groups novel that we were reading. I think it was my best activity I have done yet. I'm really proud of it.
